Why one price per square foot fails here

Those two halves need different work. A 1960s house near Bridge Street usually has decades of paint layers, and federal rules on homes built before 1978 change how it can be scraped and sanded. A 2005 house out past Bromley Lane has one thin factory coat that is chalking on the south and west walls. Same city, same square footage, very different jobs. Do you paint barns, shops and metal buildings?
Yes. Steel buildings need rust removed and a primer made for metal, and old barn wood usually takes a penetrating stain rather than paint. That difference is why many house painters turn this work down.
Should I repaint before or after a hail claim?
Get the damage on record first. Once fresh paint covers it, an adjuster has nothing to look at. We photograph and describe damage on each side of the house before any prep begins.
My house is only a few years old. Why is the paint fading?
Production builders usually apply one thin coat of an economy paint. Fading and chalky walls on the sunny sides at three to five years is what that product does, not a builder defect.
When is exterior painting season around Brighton?
Roughly mid-May into early October. Denver-area climate normals put the last spring frost around May 5 and the first fall frost around October 7. Inside that window, wind decides more working days than temperature does.
What does the warranty cover?
